UNMANNED ADVANCED LETHALITY COURSE

The U.S. Army's Unmanned Advanced Lethality Course (UALC) represents a critical advancement in military drone training, launched in August 2025 at Fort Rucker, Alabama. This three-week intensive program addresses the urgent need to standardize small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) training across the force, particularly in response to battlefield innovations demonstrated in Ukraine and other modern conflicts. The course trains soldiers in First Person View (FPV) drone operations, fire support integration, and additive manufacturing of drone components. With 28 participants in its inaugural class, UALC serves as both a resident training program and the foundation for mobile training packages to be deployed across Army units.
