SENSE - DECIDE - STRIKE

"Sense-Decide-Strike" is a concept in military drone technology and autonomous weapons systems. It refers to a three-phase operational loop where a system can: (1) Sense - Detect and identify targets using sensors, cameras, radar, etc.; (2) Decide - Process the sensed information and make targeting decisions; (3) Strike - Engage the target with weapons.
This technology is represented in various levels of autonomy in military systems. Currently, many military drones operate with "human-in-the-loop" control, where humans make the final strike decisions. However, the technology is progressing toward systems that could theoretically complete this entire cycle autonomously.
