STIGMERGY - “go to the ant”

“Go to the ant, thou sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise.” Proverbs 6:6

Stigmergy is a mechanism of indirect coordination between agents or actions, where the trace left in the environment by an action stimulates the performance of a subsequent action, either by the same agent or another agent. In simpler terms, it's like a form of communication that happens through the environment, where one agent's actions leave a "sign" that influences the future actions of other agents. The first article, STIG001 - Definition, will help a lot in understanding this.
